System Checkups are an important way to keep milking equipment milking, day in and day out. Some of the areas that we commonly service include:
Factoring in the usage, type and age of the milking equipment, and each customer’s preferences, we can make a custom service plan to match the requirements and needs of any farm. We can check the equipment more frequently for added peace of mind or less often – whatever is most helpful.
Using the DeLaval VPR200, we can quickly and easily provide a detailed report on the working condition of each pulsator. This is a good tool to ensure good teat health and reduce equipment-related mastitis.
During a Wash Analysis, a service tech or wash expert will monitor the wash cycles of the equipment, usually the pipeline and the bulk tank, and take measurements. We typically measure temperatures, water volumes, Alkalinity, Chlorine, Acid Concentrations as well as perform several water tests at the farm. We also verify and adjust washer settings, including air injection, chemical dosages, cycle times, and many other parameters.
We can quickly determine the health and effectiveness of the washing equipment and whether the CIP chemicals are the right types and amounts. Long story short, a regularly scheduled Wash Analysis is an extremely useful tool for both solving and preventing cleaning problems and milk quality issues.
A Preventative Maintenance Program can be the difference between a dairy farm that’s surviving and one that’s thriving, where equipment downtime and costly emergency calls are at a minimum. If you’re interested in looking at a quote for a custom Preventative Maintenance Program, we’d be glad to help!
